Patricia Sterrett is a retired social worker, counsellor and social services team leader by profession, with many years of experience as a social worker and healer. She has worked with people with mental health and physical health problems and has worked both in the community and in a hospital settings, both in the UK and in Singapore - where she worked as a volunteer Senior Welfare Officer.  In Singapore Patricia was a trainer for staff Social Workers. She also oversaw University students in work placements who were studying Social work, as well as volunteers of all ages who wanted to offer their services to help housebound disabled persons in the community.

Pat has been a well established teacher in Spiritual Healing since 1989 and is a Teaching Usui Reiki Master.  Pat has been taught Reiki levels 1, 2, 3 and Reiki Master Degrees herself by several different Reiki Masters since her first Reiki  Attunement in 1995 –

The reason for her lengthy period of training was her desire to learn as much as possible about Reiki before she gave way to pressure from students to teach Reiki healing, and now she thoroughly enjoys teaching all levels of Usui Reiki Healing. 

In 1996 she achieved her Further and Adult Education teachers certificate which qualified her to teach Reiki Healing and Spiritual Healing in Colleges of Further Education. 

Since 1995 Pat has also taught Healers who want to Teach Healing, as well as teaching introduction courses on other related skills including: Counselling and Listening skills, Bereavement Counselling and Stress relief.

Pat enjoys teaching others, and she has earned a well respected reputation for teaching Reiki and Spiritual healers.  She started the Academy for Reiki Healing in 1999 for the purpose of teaching natural Usui Reiki Healing to the highest standard and she has become well respected as a teaching Reiki Master and healer over the years. 

Pat is concerned that, unlike Spiritual Healing, Reiki Healing does not yet enjoy the same conformity and uniformity of training as does the Spiritual healing course, and so she takes time to ensure that her Reiki courses prepare her students to become confident and respected professional Reiki Healers.  Her aim is to ensure that they provide a healing service to the highest standard - whilst conforming to a code of conduct and practice that will enable them to avoid pitfalls that can occur for those who unwittingly take risks - or fail to give healing within the confines of the law. 

Pat became a Healer trainer in 1989 and the following are some of the relevant qualifications obtained which enable her to teach Spiritual Healers to a professional standard:
