Welcome to ASH Centre

12 POPPY LANE - ERDINGTON - BIRMINTHAM

The Association of Spiritualists and Healers
incorporating:

The Academy for Reiki & Spiritual Healers

We are called ASH Centre for short - and we are a friendly, informal Healing Sanctuary and Spiritualist Church and Healer Training Centre.  We like to feel as if all members belong to a happy family in which we are all united in our desire to develop our Spiritual and Psychic gifts. You may be interested in giving, receiving or learning Reiki Healing, Crystal Healing or Spiritual Healing - or you might like to develop your latent psychic ability to become a clairvoyant  -  or you may prefer to develop the art of reading tarot cards or angel cards. At ASH Centre we have something for everyone!

When did ASH start?

Paddy Sterrett

14th Dec 1929 - 4th Oct 2008

ASH was officially established on 4th April 1989 - but had originally started as a  small group of twelve friends who met informally at 12 Poppy Lane, Erdington at a time when  Pat's mother lived on the premises. Numbers increased to such an extent that we had to find premises to accommodate the growing membership. We were offered rooms at the Kingsbury Road Community Centre,  a once picturesque and warm Victorian Home which had been left to the people of Erdington.  We were very happy there, and for nearly threee years we met 3 - 4 days each week, using two upstairs rooms to continue with our teaching, meditation, healing and circle work.

Within a few weeks we extended our activities to  hold regular weekly Divine church services with clairvoyance on a Sunday, and we began to hold Evenings of Clairvoyance, as well as continuing with our weekly Development Circle and discussion group.  In addition, now qualified as a Spiritual Healer and Healer trainer, Pat Sterrett  started to teach healers, and she and fellow healers provided spiritual healing sessions one afternoon each week and after church on Sundays.

Sadly, youths set fire to this Centre whilst a Sunday Service  was taking place upstairs, and this resulted in closure to the public of this popular and well loved venue. ASH was offered rooms for hire at the Friendship Hall, Erdington and we enjoyed meeting at this venue for over two years - but then we transferred to the Lyndhurst Centre, Erdington.  Finally, in 1993, Pat's mother passed away, and so ASH members decided to return to their original venue: ASH House, 12 Poppy Lane, Erdington, Birmingham, as now ASH had larger and more rooms to use. We still meet at this Spiritual venue today.

Because so many people involved wanted to develop all aspects of the wonderful world of Spiritualism, we chose the name 'Association of Spiritualists and Healers' as a name o live up to - and as being most representative of our work and our aims
.

The Healing Academy provides the opportunity for potential Reiki and Spiritual Healers to learn about - and practice Spiritual and Reiki Healing and offers a very effective daily Distant Healing service as well as its private healing consultations.

All of the activities at ASH are on a cost effective basis and not with a commercial attitude towards profit or gain.
